Honeymoon on lake Garda

Honeymoon on lake Garda

What to see during the honeymoon

Lake Garda can be a fantastic honeymoon destination: one of the most evocative places in Italy, full of treasures to be discovered. Among medieval villages, spaces immersed in nature, and breathtaking views, the Garda area is perfect for an unforgettable honeymoon between history, nature, wellness and fun. There are some stages that cannot be missed during the journey: let’s see the most important ones!

For history buffs, a visit to the Vittoriale degli Italiani cannot be missed. The majestic abode of D’Annunzio covers 9 hectares and is waiting to be discovered: among the theater, the gardens, the ship, the sculptures, the ponds, the small squares and the arcades, there is plenty of choice where to start ! In Gardone di Riviera, on the other hand, you can admire numerous splendid liberty architecture, and visit the wonderful André Heller Botanical Garden which houses 2000 varieties of plants.

Not far from Brescia, you can admire the boundless beauty of Tremòsine, the most beautiful village in Italy. A place capable of leaving you speechless with its historic gardens, the villas scattered among its eighteen small hamlets, and the dense woods that surround the area. Its enchanting views reflected on the water guarantee a romantic and fabulous stay.

About romance! You will be able to relive a timeless love story by discovering the castles and fortresses that dominate the heights of Sirmione or the Torri del Benaco. Sirmione is also the perfect stop for a relaxing getaway, to pamper yourself a little in its unmissable spas (as well as those in nearby Lazise) and to enjoy its timeless charm wandering through the narrow streets inside the historic walls of the village medieval.

Another worthy area is the one that goes from Malcesine to Peschiera, known as the Riviera of the olive trees: with its fifty km of equipped beaches, it is the ideal destination both for a relaxing holiday and for a more active one dedicated to sport … . but also for entertainment, thanks to the numerous theme parks in the area, such as Gardaland, and Canevaworld.

On the west shore of Lake Garda there is another small gem: Limone sul Garda. The landscape of this area is very charming and offers a varied landscape surrounded by hills, plains and mountains. Here the hinterland is covered by woods, but also the Mediterranean scrub with its gardens, olive trees and vegetable gardens, colored soils from the wonderful lemon groves in the area.

These are just some of the stages to consider for a honeymoon on Lake Garda. The territory is so rich in wonderful places to be discovered, that it never ceases to surprise! The ideal is to plan an ad hoc built itinerary depending on how many days you will spend on the lake, and which places you prefer to visit.

Have a good trip!
